Brooklyn, New York - April 20, 2011 — With less than a week until Easter Sunday, managed care organization Health Plus has brought back its beloved Easter children’s events.  Children, young and old, in neighborhoods all across the five boroughs of NYC as well as Nassau County, were invited to come together for a day of family fun with the ever-popular Easter Bunny.
Children in attendance were offered a variety of activities, such as egg decorating, egg hunts, egg races, and a chance to pose for a picture with the Easter Bunny.  Health Plus staff was also available to educate guests about Health Plus products, offering free and affordable health insurance for children and adults.
“We’re always very happy to participate in any community’s celebration of the Easter holiday,” said Tom Early, CEO and Executive Director of Health Plus, “but to be a part of so many people’s holiday experience in so many different neighborhoods is always a moving experience. We strive to treat our members like our own family so when they choose to celebrate with us, it reminds us why putting in the extra effort is more than worth it.”

Health Plus, a not-for-profit, multi-cultural organization, is one of the fastest growing managed care organizations in New York City. Health Plus is New York City's leading provider of Child Health Plus, a New York State Department of Health program that offers parents FREE or low-cost health insurance for children under the age of 19. "CRAIN'S New York Business" magazine ranked Health Plus fifth among the largest health maintenance organizations in the New York area.
